Good morning! Sadly, I am writing in response to yet another tragedy that occurred in Bellefonte yesterday afternoon as fire ripped through a house and displaced 2 Bellefonte Elementary families which includes 4 adults and 7 children (4 of the children are in school the other 3 are 2/2 ½ years).
Both families lost everything…….absolutely everything. If you or someone you know could be helpful in rebuilding these families, it would be greatly appreciated. Today, they are most in need of food. Gift certificates for local restaurants or grocery stores would be most appropriate for now though I’m sure a home cooked meal would be appreciated when they’ve found other housing.
Both families are staying in a local hotel. They will be in need of clothing, beds, bedding, furniture, pots/pans, silverware, dishes, toys, home accessories, bath towels, cribs/pack n’ play, etc……….anything and everything!
I have specific sizes for clothing and specific needs of each child affected. In order, from oldest to youngest, there is a 10 year old girl, a 7 year old boy, a 6 year old boy, a 5 year old girl, a 5 year old boy, 2 and ½ year old twin boys and a 2 year old girl.
Please feel free to pass along this email to other people you know might consider helping out.
As always, thank you in advance for anything you could offer to these families. If you are in the district, please feel free to interoffice anything to me. If you are in town, please feel free to drop anything off to the school and I will coordinate with the families for drop-off or pick-up. If you are out of town but wish to help, please send anything to:

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Sincerely,
Suzanne (Tootie)
