Good luck!!
Who are we?
Welcome to Zion's Women of Wisdom blog!
Our name comes from Proverbs 3:13-15
"Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her."
Women of Wisdom exists to encourage, equip, and develop every woman in our community to realize her potential as a woman and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our purpose is to build relationships among us for growth in our Christian womanhood, including new comers, established, and inter-generational.

A friend of mine had a party for her child who was turning 5 and instead of presents for the child, guests were asked to bring a food donation item for the local food bank. The child (who did still recieve presents from his family members) was sooo happy to see what everyone brought and proud to know he had helped others by having his friends over for a party! His parents were equally pleased that the house was not overrun by an obscene amount of new toys. Later that week, he donated over 80 pounds of food and even got his picture in the paper for his good deed!

Oh wow, what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteA carnival theme is always fun! For food, hotdogs, popcorn, cotton candy. The dollar stores sells the plastic popcorn containers that you can use as centerpieces on the table and then serve the popcorn in. Put up a bounce house if you have one or rent one; do the fish game---the kids LOVE this. Just go to walmart and buy some goldfish and use plastic cups and ping pong balls; have someone dress up as a clown and wonder about the party; put up a cork board with balloons and let the kids throw darts. There are so many cute games you can play that don't cost much--the kids have a blast!
ReplyDeleteI emailed my idea to you. Thanks!
