This lovey-dovey season doesn't have to be all about your sweetie - that one friend who's always got your back has a special place in your heart, too. Below, a few ideas on how to show her you care:
* Offer to take her kids for the afternoon - the same afternoon you just happened to book her a mani/pedi at the local salon!
* Make a secret video of her kids saying "We love you, Mommy!" You can ask leading questions to fill up airtime, like "What is your favorite food that Mom prepares for you?" or "What is the silliest thing your mom has said?" Then upload it to a photo-sharing site, and send her a link on Valentine's Day/ (If you use Facebook, just make sure it's private.)
*Send her a playlist from iTunes with all the old songs you use to sing together on road trips or when you got ready to go out (remember those days?).
*Enlist your kids to help you make a colorful bouquet out of tissue paper or papier-mache. Not only will your gal pal cherish it, but your kids will learn a lesson in kindness.
*Help her with a big project she's been putting off - cleaning out the closets, painting, organizing her work area ... whatever. Put a date on the calendar, and tell her it's getting done. Period!
Who are we?
Welcome to Zion's Women of Wisdom blog!
Our name comes from Proverbs 3:13-15
"Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her."
Women of Wisdom exists to encourage, equip, and develop every woman in our community to realize her potential as a woman and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
Our purpose is to build relationships among us for growth in our Christian womanhood, including new comers, established, and inter-generational.
